Stanley Plaza Murray House|2025 Design Credibility Night theme announced, new projects launched "The Art of Transformation"
Description
Design Trust, founded by the Hong Kong Design Ambassadors, announced that its annual fundraising event, Design Trust "Design Night 2025", will be held on March 22, 2025 (Saturday) at the Murray House, Stanley Plaza, Hong Kong. Conceived by co-founder, chief curator and executive director Yao Jiashan, the fundraising event with the theme of "The Art of Transformation" will recognize the contribution of Diller Scofidio + Renfro co-founder Elizabeth Diller to the industry, and will also grandly present the three-month "Future • Faith Festival 2025" to explore sustainable development, culture and heritage in Hong Kong and the region from an international perspective. Link Asset Management Limited (Link) will provide venue sponsorship and support from multiple partners.
The 2025 Design Night will kick off with a private dinner hosted by May Chow, and will be held in partnership with Phillips Auction House for live and silent auctions. The "Design Night 2025 Party" will be held afterwards, and Wu Zelin, Joya and Mengzy will bring wonderful music performances. The Design Trust Charity Exhibition 2025: Transformational Exceptions will showcase more than 21 works generously donated by designers, creatives and Design Trust Ambassador partners such as William Lam, Daphne Mandel and Lu Fengya. All funds raised will be used for ongoing education and design development initiatives, regional design research projects and the Design Trust Ambassador Grant Scheme, including the “Future • Research Society” Greater Bay Area Project: “Nature Creates Nature” and a new research scholar programme in collaboration with V&A East in London.
"The Art of Transformation" will be open to the public from March 29, 2025 (Saturday) to June 18, 2025, covering art and cultural exhibitions, interactive installation art and cultural tours, transforming the historic Murray House in Stanley Plaza into a special cultural venue. Highlights include the theme exhibitions "Ocean Garden: Design Trust Ideas Lounge" and "Trust Documentary Exhibition: Hong Kong Island and Material Ecology", which focus on sustainable development, culture and heritage. By exploring and appreciating the interaction between design, nature and art, they aim to promote the resilience and creativity of the creative ecosystem in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, while attracting international attention.
